1. Knowledge enables individuals to better understand themselves and their environment. It helps them to set goals, make decisions and lead fulfilled lives. Knowledge broadens the mind and strengthens the ability to act meaningfully and reflectively.

2. On a philosophical level, knowledge enables the search for meaning and truth. It helps to answer fundamental questions about existence, ethics and the place of Humans in the Universe.

3. On the one hand, science contributes to the cultural, social and economic development of societies by disseminating knowledge and enabling rational discourse.

4. On the other hand, science also promotes rational thinking and the ability to critically question assertions instead of blindly accepting them.

5. Knowledge does not automatically imply the ability or willingness to put that knowledge into practice. Many people know what would be morally right, but act differently out of convenience, self-interest or fear.

6. There is a difference between knowledge (facts and information) and wisdom (the ability to apply this knowledge responsibly and reflectively). A person may know a lot, but without wisdom, knowledge remains incomplete.

7. Wisdom requires letting go of old beliefs when they are recognised as false. Many people shy away from this kind of change.
